Great this is in progress - as an agency, it has always been the logical choice to add at least brand campaigns to Bing.
From manual experience, Bing is more like the Google Ads of 2019 - Exact match is Exact Match and Phrase is far superior to Broad match! (so don't have persistent update from Google added!) Cannot wait to see how Opteo can help us optimise further - also happy to be a guinea pig for testing.

Hi all,
We're currently looking into whether we should integrate with Bing.
If you haven't already, would you mind answering a few questions about Microsoft Ads here: https://opteo.typeform.com/to/SzLqlHNE
Should we pursue this, we want to make sure that we focus on the right problems and build something useful for you 😊

Guillaume Devinat: I would love to see this! I am struggling with keeping my Opteo subscription on some accounts because as Google has pushed their automation it's made it harder to manually optimize. Some campaigns run well with tCPA and others don't. I use Opteo on those campaigns that I've experimented with that don't work well with Google's tCPA. As such I still have to manually manage their counterparts in Bing because their tCPA algorithm never seems to work for any campaign. Having Opteo for Bing would REALLY help me manage my Bing campaigns.

This has been a requested feature update for a long time, and Opteo has not seemed too keen on pursuing this (for now, at least), unfortunately. https://opteo.canny.io/feature-requests/p/support-bing-ads

This must be a must IMO.

...and some kind of mass dismiss function, as adding bing to the mix would increase the number of suggestions drastically

Bing Bing Bing...
We don't have any firm plans for Bing, but we often toy with the idea.
It's a whole new API for not that much additional search volume. There are other things we want to build for Google Ads before we tackle a whole new network.
I don't foresee us building this in the near future. That said, if this keeps getting upvotes, maybe we can move it higher on the priority list.

Guillaume Devinat: I totally understand; however, Bing's network represents ~30% of desktop search volume — not a small amount by any means, and it's a super important part of our clients' vertical.

Greg Jensen: I'm not quite sure what to believe about Bing's market share... eg.
vs.
But regardless of the market share, I think there are still good reasons to support Bing:
- CPAs are usually lower and so performance is better, even if the volume is lower. Bing is a net gain for a lot of clients.
- If you're already supporting Bing for your clients, that's a lot of existing work we can help you streamline (regardless of search volume).
- Or maybe, lower volume means you spend less time on Bing, so there may be more things you've missed / impactful optimisations available.
We don't yet know how expensive it would be for us to support Bing in terms of development time and technical debt. We'd also have to consider shifting our messaging away from a Google Ads tool and towards a PPC tool. The biggest consideration though is the opportunity cost of our time and resources.
I think if we were to tackle Bing, we wouldn't aim for parity between our Google and Bing features. That way we would stay lean and not be slowed down by Bing when building new features.
We've been talking about exploring the Bing Ads API to get a better read on how complex it would be to build some initial support. Eg. it's interesting to hear about budget monitoring as a priority Ben Williams and Jon Bast.
I'll be sure to keep this thread updated if and when we learn more!
